Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens
Visited September 2015
Spread over a large area, this wildlife park isn't crammed full like some zoo's/animal parks, meaning there's plenty of space, but the downside to having all this space is the distance between each enclosure.
It's a lovely peaceful, relaxed environment, with lovely gardens and planting all around and along the pathways, with an optional circular train journey for £1 per person to see it form a different view point.
The variety of animals is not as good as most zoo's/animal parks, with no elephants, very few monkeys and no tigers, what animals they did have were mostly small in numbers, however as usual the meerkats were great to watch, sunbathing in the beautiful weather. It's not as commercialised, which can be a good thing, but a few more kiosks would be nice, with some better signage for directing you to what enclosure is where would be ideal (park map is only available as part of the guide book, but there are plenty of map boards around).
In our opinion there's plenty of options for upgrades/additions and with carefully made choices it would be a fantastic full family day out, but at present it's not somewhere we would rush to go again.
