Birmingham - Last Visit Nov 2012
The first time we visited we made the mistake of turning the wrong way when we came out of the train station, meaning we went looking in the wrong places to start with. We headed over to the Mailbox, which is a more upmarket shopping centre. We eventually made our way to the Bullring, which at the time, we didn't know was the best place to visit or we would have probably headed there first, it’s Massive!!

The second time we visited Birmingham, we decided to drive in and park at Selfridges car park at the Bullring and started there, it’s probably the main place to shop in Birmingham, but there are plenty of high street shops to look in as well. The German Christmas Market was on this time we visited, which went on for miles and had a great atmosphere, although very busy and most stalls are repeated, however it’s a great place to get some food, including a bratwurst (sausage) and we also got some mushrooms and potatoes with garlic sauce, which were really nice.
Star City Retail Park
Star City is a retail park located in the North East of Birmingham just off the M6. There are places to eat and things to do, including Adventure Island Mini Golf below.
Adventure Island Mini Golf - Star City Retail Park
This adventure golf is a great place to take the family, especially on a rainy day, as it's indoors and spans 3 floors.
There are two courses, both of which are 18 hole and it took the two of us about 2 hours to do both courses and if you want a stop between courses, there's the Tiki Cafe Bar, where you can get some drinks.
The layout and decor are brilliant, creating a great atmosphere and there is ample space between holes if your waiting for the next hole to come free, so you don't feel squashed in.

Coventry – Visited Sept 2012
We came to Coventry to visit the Transport Museum (click here to go to my Transport Museum Review)and decided we’d walk into to town afterwards, however when we arrived and parked near the Transport Museum, we was a little put off by the scruffy appearance.
We walked up from the transport museum and we realised the shops in town spread over a large area and it appeared the older areas of town had many empty shops and other more modern areas had a more lively atmosphere with plenty of shops, West Orchards Shopping Centre being one of them, with two floors of shops and a food hall on the third.
