The Netherlands Circus
We went to the Netherlands Circus in March 2018, whilst it was on in Leeds. The setup/tent was a typical no frills setup, with basic seating, which was a bit disorganised, they told us second row, however it soon came apparent they meant anywhere except the ringside and very front row (which were exactly the same seats with covers on) and as with most circus’ picking a seat with a view not obstructed by a post comes down to how soon you get there.
The first part was over quite quickly, and I felt the second part was the better half of the show, in my opinion the laser lights were the best part (video below), although this was more about timing, than physical strength and balance needed by the other performers.
There were some mistakes, a guy juggling diablos dropped them a couple of times and a guy doing a roll over some benches (video below) whilst on a bicycle had 3 attempts to get it right and I couldn’t help feeling there was a little something missing, however with all that said, the tickets were under £10.
