Cleethorpes - Last Visit March 2017
Cleethorpes is a small, but popular coastal town, with a long promenade to walk along and the town a 2 minute walk away. On our last visit in March 2017, it was a cold, fairly miserable day, we walked along the top to start with, where there are some lovely small gardens areas, before we then turned back at the leisure centre and took a stroll back along the promenade. Beyond the leisure centre there is the boating lake, which on a nicer day we'd have carried on walking on to it. There's a massive beach and that day the tide was way out and despite the weather, the sand looked clean and bright. It’s not somewhere we would necessarily make a special trip to, but it would be a nice place to start if you were heading down the coast.

Barton-Upon-Humber – March 2017
After we’d been to Cleethorpes and on route to the Village hotel in Hull we’d booked a night at, we stopped at Barton-Upon-Humber. It’s only a small town, from the car park we arrived at the lower high street and we’d already decided we’d have a walk down to the Ropewalk café, so we turned left and went along the high street, down past the train station and the Ropewalk is at the other side of the Tesco car park.
The Ropewalk is, as the name suggest a former Rope factory, however now there’s an art gallery and sculpture garden, Ropery Hall, which is a venue for live music and theatre and what we went for the café.
From the Ropewalk, we headed back up to the high street via a slightly different route (map of route in slideshow) and along to the Parish of St Mary, from here we could also see another church in the distance that appeared to have lost its spire with a flat roof, we didn’t walk to it, but looking online, this is St Peter’s Church.
Sadly, we thought Barton-Upon-Humber town wasn’t as nice as we were hoping and there wasn’t a lot there of interest to encourage us to go back, however we would consider another stop at the Ropewalk and we have previously visited the Waters Edge Visitor Centre, which is just a little further down the road, we didn't visit this time, but below you can see our review and pictures from our visit in 2011.

Barton Watersedge - Visited 2011
Located on the South side of the Humber bridge, this beautiful little place has a visitors centre, with parking and a great view of the Humber Bridge, set in beautiful natural surroundings.

Kirton-in-Lindsey
This small, quiet, pretty village is my dads birthplace and he is very proud to say it. I've been a few times now, with my dad and in 2011 me and my wife visited while in Lincolnshire. The most distinct part, is the old barbers shop in the square, that sits apart from other buildings and the pretty church.
Skegness - Last Visit June 2013
An extremely popular place to visit on the east coast, Skegness has a variety of attractions for everyone, making it a great place to visit. There's the boating lake if you want to take a pedalo or rowing boat out on the lake, there's the pleasure beach, with loads of rides and we did the Gold Mine Adventure Golf, which is a good simple 9 hole crazy golf and is one of about 4 crazy golf courses in Skegness

Arnold Palmer Crazy Golf
A simple older version of this popular family game, there's a 9h hole or 18 hole course, we did the 18 hole course.

Jolly Roger Crazy Golf
Located on the corner at the clock tower roundabout, this is in the heart of it and is another themed crazy golf, with 2 courses to do.

You can also go 'round the town centre shops or go down to the massive beach, which stretches right up to Ingoldmells and if you fancy a long walk, then you can walk along the front from Skegness to Ingoldmells, but it's a long walk (approx 3.5 miles) and if you follow the path along the beach it is covered in deep sand in many parts, making it harder to walk along, especially if you have a pushchair as well.
If you fancy something a little more slower paced, then there are also several bowling greens down the south end of the sea front.

Lincoln
We went when the Christmas Market was on in 2008 and it was great to walk around all the different stalls, but there is a very steep hill to climb to get up to the Christams Market and we didn't get to see all of the town on that visit, but we will visit again.
