Challenge Trail - July 2013
We found a leaflet for this place when we arrived in Devon and having already brought the bicycles with us, we thought it would be a much better place to cycle, than on public roads. We decided the easier route was probably going to be too short and a little too easy for us and decided we would do the Challenge Trail. We were extremely surprised by how difficult the trail was, although we had based this on reviews other cyclists had made and regarded this trail as good for kids, however with the amount of narrow sections with steep drops, I wouldn’t advise this route for kids, unless they are experienced on their bike. We are a little out of practice, but found the trail was quite challenging and a decent length, it was mostly through woods, which gave us some shelter from the summer heat wave we were experiencing. The signs are a little confusing sometimes, but we did find our way ‘round in the end. |
