We visited Walt Disney World in 2010 while on honeymoon in Florida (buttons at the bottom of the page for direct links to those pages) and despite my first reservations, we absolutely loved it, so living in the UK, a visit to Disneyland Paris being within less than 24 hours away was a visit we looked forward to making.
We decided to go to Disneyland Paris as part of a holiday we had planned down in Brighton (click here to go to our South East UK page and see our Brighton pictures and review), as we are from Yorkshire, we were already going to be travelling down part of the journey anyway, so it made sense.
As with any holiday or trip, planning is key and if you’re as organised as I am, you will probably already have your own method/version of a checklist, if not, I highly recommend doing one, so you don't forget even the obvious of items.
As part of our checklist that not everyone thinks of are the following
Rucksack - Ok, so I'm not only one to think of this, but what about you ladies? Already have a handbag, well it's probably not big enough and your husband won't want to carry it, but a rucksack you can share the carrying or even better, get one each like we did, then you can fit a rolled up waterproof jacket/poncho or a jumper in, that you may want/need later.
Mini First Aid Box - Although we have one in the car (requirement by law in most countries), we also carried our own mini version in our rucksack, when you've got a headache (probably from the long drive) or a badly timed sore throat, it's easier to have a pack of lozenges already to hand, than waste time looking for a chemist. In our kit we have lip balm, travel sickness tablets, sore throat lozenges, paracetamol, plasters, and rennies.
Water - It's easy to forget to keep drinking plenty of water when you’re having fun and although more thought of in summer, you still need to keep your fluid levels up in the not so hot months too and by buying bottled water in the UK before leaving (obviously this is not so easy if you’re flying, due to security and baggage weight limits), you not only have it ready to take in your rucksack each day, but you've most likely saved money, as we all know prices are usually higher at attractions.
Document Wallet - This is the easiest way to keep all your booking info, tickets, passports etc together and you can leave it in your room safe and just take your tickets in your wallet or purse.
Now I've got the boring helpful stuff out of the way, here are our pictures, videos and reviews from our trip to Disneyland Paris!

Hotel Cheyenne (Wild West Themed) - Butch Cassidy Block
The best feature of this hotel is its theme, The Wild West and from the exterior it is very very good and in the snow it looked fantastic, however I was not so impressed with the interior. It’s a personal opinion and not one shared by my wife, who thought it was perfectly fine, however I just felt it was in need of a refurbishment (I don’t know if it’s ever been done in the 20 years since it was built) and It’s very boring and brown inside, which I appreciate is following the theme, however being a Disney hotel, I was expecting something a little more fun and less old fashioned, considering the room was a family room, I don’t think it was fun enough for kids, maybe Toy Stories Woody as a themed wallpaper on one wall where the kids bunk beds are, saloon style doors across the front of the wardrobe area and just some brighter colours, the curtain was the only colour they had, but for some strange reason only half was red.

The bathroom had subtle hints of the wild west, from the 3 lamps above the mirror to the again boring wallpaper and it looked tired and shabby, from the paint peeling off and an oversized toilet flush button, however the shower is very powerful and has a very practical long hose.
Breakfast is a buffet, which is very busy, a bit manic having people darting everywhere, but the selection seemed good, it's easy and simple for everyone to use and if you’re willing to get up early, 7am opening seemed to be the quietest time, although it all depends on how busy the hotel is and maybe the day, as the last morning was quite busy and it was also a Saturday.
In summary it was a nice hotel, a great location, but the Wild West theme was a little outdated, simple boarder/wallpaper and Wild West themed furniture doesn't do it for me and I don’t think it would have impressed kids either.
