Xscape is located off the M62 at Junction 32 and has many attractions in one place, including Cinema, Laserzone, Snozone and is a great place for the kids, there is now 6 crazy golf courses at Xscape, 2 short Cosmic (4D) indoor courses and opened in 2014 there is now 2 longer 18 hole indoor courses, Volcano Falls and 2 outdoor 18 hole courses, Pirate Island.
Pirate Island
Pirate Island is located in the middle of the Junction 32 designer outlet village and It consists of two 18 hole outdoor courses, Skull Cove and Smugglers Bay, it's a great location and in the summer you can take your kids to play crazy golf in the beautiful weather, while your wife/girlfriend goes shopping.
Volcano Falls
The newly added volcano falls consists of two 18 hole courses and is set in a very typical, tropical dinosaur world. As of February 2014 we have only played one of the courses and although the layout is very good, the course is a little dark, due to its inner location and the atmosphere they are trying to make, but the lighting also meant some of the shots we were taking in our own shadow. We also felt there wasn't enough variation of obstacles on the holes, again this may be due to some looking very much like those on other courses we have played.
I feel a little disappointed they followed a theme used by many other courses and feel other similar courses like Adventure Island at Birmingham’s’ Star City retail park have a better feeling and are much lighter.
It's still a good course to play with the family and we will go back to play the second course, i just wish they done something different, maybe even stuck to an older version of crazy golf using modern technology.
The photos are not as good as they should be, as I took them on my phone and even with the great quality of todays camera phones, they still don't beat a camera for indoor shots.

Cosmic 4D Golf
Cosmic Glow-in-the-Dark 4D Mini Golf is a modern version of this great family game and the 3D pushes it a little further and works really well, however we did find it a little disorientating at first and it made the shots a little harder. There are two courses, Search for Atlantis (6 holes) and The Mummy’s Curse (9 holes) and at a reasonable price, however there were not enough holes for us, but if you have kids it might be enough and both courses were refurbished in early 2013.
We felt it is a great idea and there is plenty of options to advance it further and hopefully we will see more of these new courses throughout the UK and with more holes!
There are plenty of other things to do at Xscape, including amusements and a cinema, however most people come for the ski slopes, which I have never tried and is not something I have a personal interest in. There are a selection of places to eat, including Chiquitos, Pizza Express, Nando's and more.
If you fancy a bit of retail therapy, then across from Xscape is Junction 32 Retail Park, with loads of shops!
