This is a really beautiful place to visit, massive pebble beach, plenty of shops and tall sheds, it’s definitely worth visiting and we didn’t even explore it all of it! If the beach isn’t enough to keep the kids entertained, there’s Go Karts, amusements, boating lake and Crazy Golf (see review below).

We arrived in Brighton earlier than planned and decided to stop and have a walk 'round, it's a nice place, but originally appeared to have one high street of shops with a church at the end, however driving through later that night, we realised we hadn't gone far enough, as at the top of a hill we thought didn't have much to see, was more shops, sometimes it is worth the extra leg work and investigating.

We parked on Madeira Drive, which is down on the seafront, not far from the main pier and on a beautiful summer day, it would be a nice walk along the front, however the bitterly cold blizzard conditions, meant we didn't walk so far. The town is very large, with loads and loads of shops to go in, including the modern Churchill Square Shopping Centre and a lovely area of narrow streets of shops called The Lanes. You can easily spend 4+ hours in Brighton, we did, even with the poor weather conditions we had, but we do look forward to returning when we can enjoy the town and seafront more in warmer conditions.

If you drive east from Brighton, just a little further along is Brighton marina, where there is another nice area of shops and restaurants, we revisited the Marina Easter 2014 and it was a much nicer day and there were lots more visitors.

This coastal town is quite large, with a beautiful long seafront to walk along, a pier and although the beach is pebbles and is maybe not as nice as a typical beach for building sandcastles with kids on, but it's still a nice location for a picnic.
