Lyme Regis – July 2013
This was the second time we visited Lyme Regis, although the first time we only drove through the town, as the high street is on a hill and narrow, it doesn’t take a lot for traffic to get backed up, so we drove on. Once again, we found parking awkward and had to drive ‘round a little and eventually parked at the top end of the high street and walked down, not advisable if you’re not good on your feet or get out of breath easily, as it’s quite steep, but there are a few small car parks, if you can get in them. There are 2 other large car parks, which are the easiest places to park, one is at the top of Cobb Road and the other is at the bottom of Cobb Road, which we found on our walk along the beach. It’s a nice walk along the seafront, so parking at the bottom of Cobb Road is what we will do in the future. There are quite a few shops on the high street to look in and at the bottom of the hill beyond the traffic lights; you can look out over the sea wall.
