The Yellow Duckmarine
When I first saw these amphibious vehicles, I want to go on one, so the second time we visited Liverpool, I logged onto their website (Click on the Heading above to go straight to their website), followed the very simple, easy instructions and picked my day, time and paid and then simply printed off our boarding card.
When we got down to the docks, I saw there was a pink duckmarine, which I found very odd and they also had 2 yellow duckmarines running that day as well and we watched as they travelled through the docks.

We arrived at the bus stop down near the docks and excitedly awaited its arrival and after the previous passengers had got off, we were allowed to get on. Unfortunately the driver found a fault with the vehicle during his safety checks. I was instantly down heartened, but safety first and these things can happen, especially when you consider these vehicles are running many times each day. He then had to ask us to get off and told us there were still places left on a last trip of the day or we could get a full refund.
We ran over to the booking office to try and get one of the remaining seats on the later trip, as we wouldn’t be able to come back the next day and we did, so we went back to the bus stop and waited patiently.

We boarded the yellow duckmarine when it arrived and due to the delay, the staff told us they was going to do the route backwards by doing the water first, as it was late in the day and it would be getting dark soon.
From the moment we entered the water, it was Brilliant! The staff were very friendly and made the experience a little more fun, asking me to fire a water pistol at the pink duckmarine as we passed it.
When we emerged out of the dock, we continued onward to do the town tour, with the staff telling us about the area and buildings.
