Majorca is another island I really liked, driving around was nothing like in the UK, mainly down to less vehicles, fewer roads, but in excellent condition. Due to the size, you can travel from one end of the country to the other and back in the same day, making it great for visitors to see all of the country.
Palma Marina
This is massive marina and there are plenty of fantastic boats moored here. We didn’t actually visit Palma town, but we did drive through some of it and it’s extremely complicated and you need to make sure you’re in the correct lane. Unfortunately my photos are a little bit grey, as this was the only day we had some rain.

This was a lovely little town, with a beautiful array of shops and had less of a touristy feel.

Port de Soller
This has a lovely marina and we took a boat trip form here to Sa Calobra, the trip was 20 Euros return per person, so a little expensive, but the boat trip was lovely, or you to get to Sa Calobra, you would have to drive down to it.

Sa Calobra
As mentioned above, we arrived here by boat and on the approach, it looked fantastic, 'A tiered mountain side village' is how I would describe it. We had a look around, but didn’t travel far away form the waters edge and finally perched ourselves on a rock, dangling our feet into the crystal clear water, we could have sat there for hours, but the boat arrived back to collect us. We would definitely go back for another visit and we would probably drive to it, to give us no time limit to stay.

Gorg Blau
As you drive through one of the mountain road tunnels, this lake appears from the darkness, there is a car parking area to stop and admire the view.

Cala d’Or
One of my most memorable places, this place has a beautiful marina you can walk right around, admiring the expensive yachts. Above the marina, was a lovely row of restaurants, one after the other with outdoor seating and we decided to stop.

Alcudia
The old town is very nice; there is a short walk along the old wall, with many shops and cafes.

This is where we stayed while on holiday in Majorca, it was an ideal location for us, as we were away from the busier areas, but we had a hire car to get around and we were only 5 minutes from Alcudia.

Cala Mondrago
Cala Rajada
We walked along a very well kept sea front pathway, which was quite a walk, but we eventually arrived at a lovely hidden beach, which was a bit small and quite busy, there are cafes, but you do have to walk back along the pathway to get out of this little cove.
